Gastric cancer is cause by abnormal division of gastric cells. Which can occur in any part of the stomach and can spread to other organs such as the liver, pancreas, intestines, lungs, ovaries, and lymph nodes.

Gastric cancer is common in people who regularly eat foods that contain carcinogens, such as processed foods and grilled foods. In the early stages of gastric cancer, Often do not show symptoms. But as the disease progresses. It may cause stomach pain that is similar to other diseases, such as stomach ulcers, viral gastritis. Often have stomach pain, feel uncomfortable in the stomach, like indigestion, bloating after eating, nausea. And a burning sensation in the chest.

The culprit that causes stomach ulcers and stomach cancer is the bacteria Helicobacter pylori (H.pylori). Most people infected with this bacteria will develop chronic gastritis without showing symptoms. Infected people have a 10-20% risk of developing stomach ulcers.  

The exact cause of stomach cancer is still unknown. But several factors have been found to increase the risk of the disease, as follows:

  • Eating salty foods or foods that contain a high amount of salt, such as salted meat, salted fish, pickled foods. Which vary in the type of heating, such as burnt parts of grilled, roasted, smoked foods from reusing frying oil more than once, such as bake, ยูฟ่าเบท, fried, grilled, roasted, etc.
  • Helicobacter pylori infection, a bacterium that can cause stomach inflammation and ulcers, may also increase the risk of stomach cancer.
  • Men are twice as likely to develop stomach cancer as women.
  • Lifestyle behaviors such as smoking, drinking alcohol, not eating vegetables and fruits.
  • With underlying diseases such as certain types of anemia and chronic gastritis.
  • Have a family history of stomach cancer.

In the early stages, there may not be any specific symptoms and symptoms may resemble other diseases such as stomach ulcers or gastritis, including stomach pain, indigestion or discomfort, bloating after eating, mild nausea, loss of appetite, and a burning sensation in the chest.

If the symptoms spread, will have symptoms such as feeling uncomfortable in the abdomen, especially in the upper and middle abdomen, blood in the stool, vomiting, which may be bloody, passing dark-colored stools, weight loss, stomach pain or vomiting, food eaten due to stomach blockage, swallowing problems or reduced food intake, fatigue.
