Inter Milan are interest in South Korea centre-back Kim Min-Jae and hope Bayern Munich will allow him to be loan out next season.
Italian Sport reports that Inter Milan are considering a move to bring Kim Min-jae back to Serie A after an unimpressive season with Bayern Munich.
Kim has made 36 appearances in the 2023-24 campaign but has been a regular substitute in the second half of the campaign since Bayern signed Eric Dier in January. With the South Korean centre-back facing an uncertain future this summer.
The Nerazzuri are reportedly confident Bayern will be open to a loan offer for Kim without a buy-out clause. As they see a good relationship between the two clubs from their previous business dealings.
Inter are looking to make some changes to their defence for the 2024-25 season. Inter have already targeted Bayern defender Kim Min-Jae in the past.
The South Korean international had been on the Nerazzurri’s radar in the summer of 2022. When he was a Fenerbahce player.
Min-Jae had been a target for Inter to replace either Milan Skriniar or Alessandro Bastoni if they were to have left that summer.
But in the end, the South Korean joined Napoli.
Min-Jae was a key player for the Partenopei as they won the Serie A title for the first time in over three decades during the 2022-23 season.
However, the former Fenerbahce defender did not stick around.
Last summer, Min-Jae joined Bayern Munich in a big money deal.
However, things have not quite gone according to plan for the 27-year-old in Bavaria. He lost his place in the starting eleven fairly early on in the season.
